The internationally exhibited artists of Taller Portobelo and Taller Portobelo Norte have had critically and commercially successful shows in a multitude of venues including the 2002 Panama Biennial, The 16th annual Iberoamericano Festival in Cadiz, Spain, the Sonja Stone Center for Black Culture and History at UNC, and the Hammonds House Galleries and Resource Center for African American Art in Atlanta, GA.

Artists & Scholars lecturers have conducted lectures and hosted symposiums and panel discussions on a wide variety of topics dealing with the Latin American and African Diaspora, Performance Studies, Poetry and Playwriting, Digital Media and the Literary and Visual Arts.
